The Israeli occupation continues its attempts to separate the occupied city of Jerusalem from its Palestinian depth, with the aim of Judaizing it and preventing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 line, with Jerusalem as its capital.

The National Bureau for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in a report today published on its website that the occupation authorities seized 82 dunums of lands of villages north of Jerusalem to build a railway linking the west of the city with Al-Quds International Airport in the town of Qalandia in the north, indicating that this comes within the framework of A new plan to build settlement roads starting from the airport area towards the west of the town of Beit Hanina to the lands of Shuafat and then south to Al-Quds Street in Ramallah.

The report indicated that the occupation is building these roads in the neighborhoods and villages of Jerusalem with the aim of isolating them from each other in preparation for the implementation of a plan announced last year to establish a new settlement on the lands of Al-Quds Airport in Qalandia, forming a settlement barrier separating Jerusalem from its natural extension and Palestinian depth in the north.

The report indicated that the occupation announced another plan to establish a train in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, linking the Mount of Olives to Al-Buraq Square and extending from the old train station on Hebron Road to the Mughrabi Gate, where a station will be established for the settlers to use to reach the Al-Buraq Wall and the Old City, and from there the train will continue its journey towards Jabal olives;

The report pointed out that the occupation forces demolished two houses in the town of Sur Baher, three agricultural facilities in the towns of Beit Hanina and Shuafat in Jerusalem, a house in the town of Deir Salah in Bethlehem, and a shop in the village of Al-Auja in the northern Jordan Valley, while they delivered demolition notices for homes and commercial and agricultural facilities in Qalqilya and Wadi towns. Fokin and Artas in Bethlehem and Umm al-Rayhan in Jenin.

The report stated that the occupation forces seized 40 dunums planted with olives in Wadi Fukin village and 5 dunums in Husan village in Bethlehem and bulldozed areas of agricultural land in Khirbet Soba, west of Hebron, and started building a settlement road south of Qusra town in Nablus.

The report stated that the settlers continued their attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, as they stormed the area of Wadi Al-Hussein and the Jaber neighborhood, east of Hebron, and seized a house, burned olive trees, and destroyed the crops of dozens of dunums of agricultural land in the Masafer Yatta area south of the city. They also bulldozed large areas of land south and east of Jalud village. In Nablus to expand two settlement outposts, they attacked Palestinians and their homes and properties in the towns of Ya’bad in Jenin, Kifl Haris in Salfit, Mazraa al-Gharbiyeh in Ramallah and Jaftlik in the northern Jordan Valley, and they cut the road between Nablus and Ramallah.
