The opening game of the event was between ENCE and Copenhagen Flames

ENCE - A small and efficient organization from Finland that has always been among the top 20 teams in the world.

At their peak 4 years ago, the club reached the final of the Katowice Major 2019. But since then the entire staff has replaced and this is actually a completely new team from the year.

With a hand on heart we must admit that here at the gaming channel we are a bit non-objective on the subject.

For the first time ever in the Major, we have an Israeli representative in the form of Lotan SPINX Giladi leading them in a meteoric season.

With a victory in the BLAST Spring Showdown (broadcast on the gaming channel - 66 on HOT).

With a run all the way to the final in ESL PRO LEAGUE where they lost to FAZE in a close game.

ENCE (and Lotan in particular) look like one of the strongest teams in the tournament.

Copenhagen Flames - a relatively under-the-radar team, serves as an incubator for Danish talents who are later kidnapped to more prominent teams in Denmark like Heroic or ASTRALIS.

Copenhagen usually participates in smaller tournaments such as the Pinnacle Cup, Malta Vibes or Elisa Invitational.

In Major however they are hugely surprising with impressive wins over much stronger teams.

Includes a victory in a series of one map over ENCE in the previous stage of the competition.

The first map - VERTIGO.

Result: 16-10 in favor of ENCE (Choice of Copenhagen Flames)

The first map started very close.

ENCE took the first round of guns.

The game continued to be close until a decisive round in which Polish player Dycha eliminated four of Copenhagen's five players and changed momentum in favor of ENCE allowing them to finish an impressive half with a 12-3 advantage.

The second half opened with a victory for the Danes in the pistol round, and they fought tooth and nail to get back into the game in five nerve-wracking rounds in which the Copenhagen Flames knocked out the ENCE one after the other.

12-8 to ENCE and they seem to find a hole in Copenhagen's defense, and at 15-8, at Match Point it was Copenhagen's players Zyphon and Jabbi who held the team in the game with some fancy clutches, but in the end it was not enough To stop ENCE over time, and the map closed with a score of 16-10 in favor of ENCE.

The second map - NUKE, result 16-12 in favor of ENCE (choice of ENCE)

ENCE are known for their talent in the NUKE map, and this is one of the maps where they excel the most.

And despite everything it was not a simple game.

ENCE started on the attacking side of the disadvantage in this map, aiming to make the most of their energy to take as many rounds as they could from the disadvantage position, before switching sides in half would give them the advantage.

Both teams swapped rounds back and forth, and when the Spinx won a round in an amazing move, in the next round it was roej from Copenhagen who returned the same coin.

Towards the end of the half the score was 9-3 to Copenhagen.

Not bad considering the imbalance between the sides on the map, but not necessarily enough to bring ENCE the win and ticket to the semi-finals.

A calculated risk in the form of Force Buy from the side of ENCE managed to bring them to victory, and from there to two more rounds that closed the half 9-6 in favor of Copenhagen.

Excellent score for ENCE to start with CT side.

In the second half ENCE started with a convincing victory in the pistol round, but Copenhagen did not give up easily and fought tooth and nail on this map.

The young Danish players gave the performance of their careers, and received respect from the crowd in Antwerp, especially nicodoz, the Copenhagen sniper who demonstrated phenomenal playing ability.

But despite the tough battle ENCE managed to piece together all the pieces of the puzzle and finish the map with a 16-12 victory and qualify for the semi-finals.

Second quarterfinal - NA'VI vs. Heroic

The quarterfinals were among the buoys at this point in the competition.

Two teams at their top and with a lot of baggage behind the encounter.

NA'VI The group that is considered the best in the world.

Who took every trophy in 2021 without blinking in the lead of player S1MPLE who is considered a lift in the game and in the eyes of many the best player who has ever touched this game.

Their golden column was interrupted due to the war and it seems in recent months that they are failing to restore the spirit and motivation they had.

The organization is Ukrainian, but the staff mixes Russians and Ukrainians together, while most of the organization's senior management are fighting for Ukraine on the front of the operation.

Definitely a delicate situation.

Opposite them - the Roik, a team that has proven time and time again that it is unquestionably one of the 5 best teams in the world.

But she, too, is chasing scandal after scandal, whether in deceptions related to their former coach Hunden, or unfortunate remarks by Captain Cadian who managed to lift most of the fans on him.

HEROIC enter the stadium as the villains of the competition.

But definitely a group to watch out for.

First Map - INFERNO, Result - 16-10 for Heroic (Heroic Selection)

The game opens with shouts of contempt from the crowd to Cadian, the Heroic captain who played into the character, facing the revered S1mple.

Na'vi opened with a nimble pistol round but encountered a problem in subsequent rounds as the Heroic Danes finished saving and bought guns.

Refrezh from the heroic made for NA'VI a tough life with excellent defense and many rounds in which he gained several pounds.

Despite NA'VI's best efforts, the half ended 9-6 in favor of Heroic.

After the exchange of sides NA'VI this time on the defensive side managed to fill the gap and equalize to 10-10 after another victory in the first round of the half and an important Triple Kill of Boombl4 to stop Heroic's attack on Site B. Despite the improvement in the ability of NAVI, the team from Denmark Did not give up and closed the game 16-10 with convincing moves from TeSeS and cadiaN.

Second Map - Ancient, result 16-14 for NAVI (NAVI selection)

The second map started with a heroic advantage with a win in the gun round, but they failed to stop NA'VI's kick.

The players led by s1mple took over the map.

And while the heroics fought hard, it was clear that the map would go to NA'VI, even if with a close score.

Decisive map - NUKE, result 16-8 to NA'VI

There's a reason NUKE was chosen for the crucial map.

This is one of the maps where NA'VI is almost invincible.

The Ukrainian club took an early lead, sponsored by the best stats we have seen from electroNic in the entire competition so far.

Heroic had no answer, you had no way of breaking through NA'VI's defense and lost the initiative completely.

The first half ended 12-3 for NA'VI.

The second half put Heroic on the defensive side of the advantage on this map, but they managed to take just five rounds before NA'VI sealed this series with a 16-8 victory, qualifying for the semi-finals to face ENCE.

Tonight will be the semi-finals, which can be watched on Twitch.tv live from the Sportpaleis Stadium in Antwerp, Belgium.

This major is proving to be one of the most fascinating majors we have had in recent years, we wish success to all teams and especially to our Israeli representative in the ENCE group.
