In Damascus, with the aim of attracting sports talents at the university level and training them in order to supply national sports with talents capable of competing in sports forums at the local and external levels.

The club, which will provide sports games and training courses for students at nominal prices, includes a group of halls for all table tennis, combat games, karate, billiards, hockey, taekwondo, aerobics, yoga and other physical games under the supervision of professional trainers and holders of local and international championships.

President of the National Union of Syrian Students Dareen Suleiman pointed out that the opening of the club comes within the framework of the strategy of the Union and the Ministry of Higher Education to establish a series of facilities that students need, such as clubs, stadiums and theaters, which aim to discover their talents in the artistic, sports and cultural fields in order to support them and work to sponsor them with all possibilities and enhance They have a culture of excellence.

Eng. Iyad Talab, member of the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students and Head of the Sports Activity Office, pointed out that the club is considered an integrated sports complex whose purpose is not profitable, pointing out that the participation fee for any game in it ranges between 30 to 35 percent of the fee charged by any private sports club in the region. .

Bodybuilding coach Sherine Deeb, the republic's champion for strength and fitness, pointed out the importance of this step in order to invest the energies of young people by organizing sports tournaments during which incentive material rewards are granted.

The President of Damascus University, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, and the Secretary of the Damascus University Branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Dr. Khaled Al-Halbouni, and a number of members of the Executive Office of the Students' Union and stakeholders participated in the opening of the club.
