The Yemeni armed forces announced that the air defenses of the Yemeni army and the popular committees today shot down a Saudi regime spy plane in the airspace of Hajjah Governorate.
And the Al Masirah Net website quoted the Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, as saying in a statement, “Our air defenses managed to shoot down an armed Turkish-made Karial spy plane belonging to the Saudi Air Force while it was violating the armistice and carrying out hostile missions in the airspace of the Hiran region in Hajjah Governorate.”
Saree explained that the process of shooting down the enemy plane was carried out with a locally-made surface-to-air missile that has not yet been revealed, stressing that this operation shows that the Yemeni armed forces are present and ready to respond to any breach or aggression by the forces of aggression.
On May 4, the Yemeni armed forces announced the downing of a Saudi regime spy plane in the airspace of Hajjah Governorate as well.
