A child died and another was injured as a result of a fire in Al-Mahayni Hospital in Damascus.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that at about five thirty in the morning he informed the Al-Midan Police Department in Damascus that a fire had broken out in a room designated for incubators at Al-Mahayni Hospital. Newborn and injured another child.
The ministry pointed out that preliminary investigations indicated that the cause of the fire was a short circuit in one of the incubators, explaining that the incubator room was cleaned and the burned incubator was transferred for maintenance, and investigations are still ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the accident.
