Will American women lose their right to abortion?
The hypothesis has been on the table since the site Politico revealed on May 3 that the Supreme Court plans to overturn the Roe vs. Wade decision.
Adopted in 1973, it guarantees this right to all women in the country, no matter where they live.
If this scenario materializes, around twenty conservative states, from the center or the South, are ready to prohibit, or even criminalize voluntary termination of pregnancy (abortion).
Texas has already reduced the legal period to 6 weeks, and encourages citizens to file complaints against people who help women have abortions, including taxi drivers who take them to a clinic.
The prospect of the Roe vs. Wade judgment being overturned has caused a wave of concern in the tech and internet world in the United States.
Because the criminalization of this act would indeed take on a whole new dimension in the age of hyper connectivity.
