The mayor of the city of Energodar in the Ukrainian province of Zaporozhye and two of his bodyguards were injured by an explosive device, after the mayor received repeated threats from the Ukrainian forces prior to this incident, according to the city's law protection authority.
And TASS news agency quoted a source in the city's law enforcement agencies as saying that Mayor Andrei Shevchik and two of his bodyguards were wounded in the explosion of an improvised explosive device planted at the entrance to his house, adding that the mayor had received repeated threats from Ukrainian forces prior to this explosion.
It is noteworthy that Energodar is a city in the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine that was liberated by Russian forces last March after the start of a special military operation to protect Donbass.
