The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (22) that red flags have been hoisted at Shek O Beach, Silverstrand Beach in Sai Kung and Clear Water Bay Second Beach in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island due to strong waves, indicating that swimming there is dangerous , the public should not swim there.
A lifeguard at Shek O Beach said that the waves on the surface are not too big, but the undercurrents are strong, and swimmers are prone to accidents, so they should not be taken lightly.
