chorus cheer

Affected by the epidemic and the suspension of classes, the learning of Form 6 students in the past three years has been full of changes and anxiety.

Even though schools maintain learning and teaching through online classes and help students prepare for the HKDSE through various electronic platforms and applications, the learning effect is still not as good as physical classes.

In the face of the epidemic, Form 6 students were unable to take the physical graduation examination, failed to say goodbye to their friends and teachers, fear of the epidemic and anxiety about taking the test, and they were under overwhelming pressure.

The staff of Bishop Ho Ming Wah Secondary School sang a school version of "One and All" for the Secondary 6 students to express our hearts and minds walking hand in hand.

The teachers and teachers worked together, one sentence at a time, practiced hard, made a video, and hoped to cheer and cheer for the students through singing!

survive the epidemic

Due to the epidemic, March-April this year is a special school holiday.

In order to enhance the positive emotions and resilience of the students, and increase the connection with each other, the school specially launched a series of "#epidemic must live well" on the social platform Instagram, sharing positive education tips and beliefs with the students, and encouraging the students We maintain good habits during special holidays and care about ourselves and those around us.

Through different posts, such as faith sharing, sports practice, gratitude message, snack making, etc., students are encouraged to share life moments with their friends.

Some of the posts were created by the students themselves, which are full of creativity.

let love flow

Share the love, not just on campus!

Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Bishop Ho Ming Wah Secondary School hopes to pass on love and care to families in need in the community.

The school received funding from the Jockey Club's "COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund" to launch the "Let Love Move" program.

At the peak of the outbreak in March, together with Oxfam Hands, Yi Chu Tong Zai Ministries and online shopping platforms, through different community organizations, schools and religious groups in Kwun Tong District, families in need were contacted and provided timely support.

These include telephone emotional counseling, supply of fresh food and anti-epidemic materials, and the provision of shopping coupons.

In just over 40 days from planning, contacting partner agencies and distributing supplies, the "Let Love Flow" program has successfully supported 300 families, and more than 1,000 home-isolated people have received prompt help.

Team volunteers went deep into the community and delivered supplies to people in home quarantine for them to pick up on their own.

When distributing supplies, all volunteers are fully protected from infection.

Some of the recipient families live in an eight-storey tenement building. Since there is no lift, volunteers need to wear masks and carry nearly 16 kilograms of supplies to the door of the family in need. The process is not easy at all!

But compared with the menacing new crown pneumonia and the hardships of Hong Kong citizens, what are the challenges we face?

To be able to provide supplies to families in need during difficult times, and to pass on the warmth and blessings of love to the sick citizens, this is exactly the meaning of the "Let Love Flow" program!
