Ebersberg's mayor Ulrich Proske launched a sweeping attack on the state government.

It's about childcare.

Ebersberg

– All children get a place in the Ebersberg crèches – just barely.

63 children from Ebersberg, 14 guest children.

There are 159 registrations for the kindergartens, 144 of them come from Ebersberg and 15 from the surrounding villages.

It is expected that all children who will be three years old by the end of the year will be able to be offered a place.

However, this means that the facilities in Ebersberg are fully utilized.

This has now become clear in the social committee of the city council.

Ebersberg: 35 children still have no place in the after-school care center

The situation is different when it comes to childcare and after-school care.

There are a total of 117 registrations.

35 of them have no place yet.

All these figures do not include the children from Ukraine.

Ten Ukrainian children are already in Ebersberg, and more are expected.

That means: In all facilities you are reaching the limits of capacity.

Something must be done.

Legal entitlement for daycare places: Ebersberg mayor scolds the state government

The parents have a legal right.

"We communities are the doormats," Mayor Ulrich Proske (independent) complains about the situation.

"The Free State is letting us down.

At the lowest level, you get let down because the government can't manage," the mayor said.

"We need space, but we don't have it." Pavilion or container is the name of the emergency solution.

Various green areas, the commercial area, the forest sports park and various other areas are currently being examined for the establishment of such interim solutions.

"I would prefer it if we simply used the cabin building at the Waldsportpark for this," said Proske.

And what to do with the children from the school care?

One group could temporarily go to the rectory, a second to the fire station.

The situation is tense, with no solution in sight.
