This time Moosburg's carnival was celebrated in May.

The pandemic should not ensure that “Damisch Moosburg” is canceled.

After all, there was an anniversary.

Moosburg

- Special times require special measures, and this year the times are threefold special.

After the end of the pandemic restrictions, the 1250th anniversary of the city of Moosburg and the 90th anniversary of the Narrhalla, this time the classic "Damisch Moosburg" was held in early summer.

On two evenings, the club from the carnival stronghold gave the Moosburgers a lot of joy with a colorful program.

Ultimately, the courage of the Narrhalla was rewarded with the postponement of the event.

The ball on Saturday evening in the Stadthalle was sold out, on Friday the hall was a good half full.

With "Jet Set" on Friday and "Apollos" on Saturday, two well-known dance bands were also engaged, which effortlessly filled the dance floor between acts throughout the evening.

The princely couple of this year – Tanja III.

von Häuserbau from Feldkirchner Au and Christian II. Saatgutheld from Amperfeld – presented himself at the greeting without a costume.

"We think it's just better to play the bass duad to surprise you no a bit in the upcoming carnival," said Prince Christian of the duo's plan.

The almost summery Damisch Moosburg was also the biggest appearance of the reign for this royal couple.

Traditionally, the city's former regents help shape the program - and this time it was no different.

As a gardener, swan lake or YMCA, they made their audience laugh and smile for two days.

Especially the YMCA dancers with lots of men's buttocks in thongs were rewarded with plenty of applause for their cheeky performance.

But the ex-princesses also showed the audience that you haven't forgotten anything after your tenure.

The choreography of the western linedance was right down to the last detail.

Of course, the Little Dream Hoppers, the Funky Dancing Teens, Prinzengarde and Elferrat also boarded the stage for their performances before the alumni.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Between the interludes and the dance rounds, Katrin Rus and Udo Lehr led through 90 years of history of the Narrhalla Moosburg.

It began with Prince Rupert from 1932 and, in various blocks, presented the princely couples who made Moosburg one of the district's well-known carnival strongholds.

The colorfully illuminated robes of former princesses and princes also create a special atmosphere and gave the 90th anniversary ball a special touch.

In addition to the anniversaries of the club and city and an early summer Damisch Moosburg, the anniversary book that was produced instead of the fool's mirror is also unusual.

This lovingly and laboriously designed work is required reading for friends of the Moosburg carnival, because there are many anecdotes and lesser-known stories to read in addition to the historical tour through nine decades.
