(ANSA) - PALERMO, MAY 22 - A demonstration promoted by "Quarto Savona 15", the association that bears the name of the escort car of Judge Giovanni Falcone on which the three escort agents who died in the Capaci attack were traveling, took place this morning in Palermo for the thirtieth anniversary of the Capaci massacre.
A procession led by Tina Montinaro, widow of the caposcorta who for years has been organizing initiatives to remember by carrying around Italy the wreckage of that car torn apart by TNT, crossed the Cassaro, the main axis of the city, up to the seafront of the Foro Italico where the participants attended a parade of sailing boats that had photos of the victims of the attack on deck.
The demonstration, organized together with the State Police, was attended by the prefect Giuseppe Forlani, the undersecretary of the interior Nicola Molteni, the commissioner Leopoldo Laricchia, the leaders of Arabinieri, Guardia di Finanza and Port Authority, and some families of victims of the mafia .
The parade of boats was accompanied by the sound of sirens and the national anthem played by a fanfare.
