Fire in truck cab: driver (34) dies in the flames

A young man died in a fire in a truck driver's cab in Himmelkron.
The 34-year-old trucker died in the flames.

- An accident with a fatal outcome occurred on Saturday, May 21, in Himmelkron (Kulmbach district).
A truck driver (34) died in a fire.
According to the police, the incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday evening.
According to the report, a fire developed in the driver's cab of a truck parked at the Himmelkron rest area and spread rapidly.

Although the fire brigade quickly arrived at the rest area on Bayreuther Strasse, the driver's cab was already completely on fire by this time.
According to the fire brigade, an unnaturally heavy smoke is said to have developed in the driver's cab.

Although the fire was quickly extinguished, emergency services had to make a tragic discovery.
The driver of the truck did not manage to get out of the cab in time.
The 34-year-old died in the flames.
An emergency doctor who was called could only determine his death.
Damage to the truck was estimated at 60,000 euros.
Detectives from Bayreuth have started investigating the accident on site.
The cause of the fire is still unclear at this time.
