Each couple arrives at some point in the life cycle where the children leave the nest and is faced with the decision to move to a new home, which will suit their current dimensions. Many choose to move to a smaller home, but my son The couple whose home we arrive at is completely different. "What they planned is really 'their last home,'" begins the tour of the property with interior designer Alona Appel, who and her partner, architect Eyal Appel, are in charge of the house's planning and design. A kit but one that we live in, one that will be very convenient for hosting the kids on the weekend, ”she says.

The design style is modern with warm touches.

"We used a color palette of beige, gray and brown, less white," Apple explains.

"We chose warmer shades and not shades of white and gray that are considered more trendy today. The design is very calm, minimalist and not cluttered with things. It was important to customers that the house be light."

The challenge of creating a warm home has become more difficult, given the fact that the house has a particularly high and impressive ceiling that reaches a height of 6 meters in the central space.

"Because we knew most of the conduct in the house would be on one floor we wanted to create something unique, not something that is relatively ordinary. We wanted to give the first floor power and we did it through the high ceiling and large developers that surround the house. Customers are very connected to this idea. "Gives a feeling of a sports hall or something too big, because we managed to create warmth in the shades and materials we used," explains the designer.

At first glance, even before entering the house, one can think that it is a solid house according to its facade, which is slightly swallowed up in the prestigious environment.

But when you enter its gates you see the spaces, the height, the courtyard and the huge pool that extends over a large area.

From the entrance to the house you can see how the outside is reflected inside.

"The entrance to the house is very wide and we used natural flooring materials, which help the feeling of space. The front door is also huge and you can see the whole house to the pool, everything is open. In addition, we wanted to enhance the central space and "We had to connect the outside to the inside. This was very important to us. In fact, a situation was created where there is no separation between the house and the garden. This is also reflected in the very high pergola and it illustrates the continuous continuation between the inside and outside," says Apple.

But behind?

On the "pergola", which is actually an outdoor covered surface 6 meters high, architect Eyal Appel expands: "The house is embraced by a large wing that connects the wings of the house and creates an area that is very pleasant to sit in - both in summer and winter. Which actually serves as an extension of the house and is very inviting to sit in. We placed ceiling fans on the ceiling that make the stay pleasant even on hot days of the year and we really see that it has become the area most of the time - both when hosts and spouses are left alone in the house. This is because it is part of a noisier area, so that feelings of peace, intimacy and comfort are created in the seating area. "

"The high wing gives the house a very interesting geometric shape. It does not seem to be attached to the house because it is very light. "The house is very clean and clear. We had a very serious engineering challenge, as there are developers of more than 8 'in the central space, but in collaboration with the engineer Orly Arma we solved the complex engineering design."

The master suite is located on the entrance floor of the house and enjoys a view overlooking the pool.

The bathroom has a standing bath and a shower.

Downstairs there is another suite that is used for accommodation on weekends when the children arrive, and also on the second floor there are two very large suites, with a living room and a kitchenette, which are also suitable for entertaining.

"For the flooring we used porcelain granite and in the wall of the stairs we made a kind of dark shade that will bring warmth to the area and highlight the floating wooden stairs, which correspond with the carpentry of the living room opposite," says the designer.

"We also chose shades for the kitchen that create a contrast of heat and cold. And in the lighting, we combined delicate touches of gold, which the customer really likes," concludes Apple.
