With a lot of commitment and supporters, the Olchinger youth culture association "Das Gut" put together a family event.

Some let off steam in the bouncy castle at the fairground, others had their face painted, tried their hand at the shooting range – or watched spectacular jumps.

Olching – Whoever passed the fairgrounds on Saturday was greeted by an extraordinary sight: the gladiator.

According to the provider, this is one of the most exciting bouncy castle courses in Germany.

Anyone who ventured into the 85-metre-long, puffed-up monster in black and red had to overcome obstacles such as a climbing wall, ramps and an 11-metre-long tunnel.

And all against time.

The participants competed in teams of four.

Like Lutz and Frauke (they prefer their first names), who started with their children Elli (7) and Laurenz (9).

"More strenuous than expected," commented the family man, slightly out of breath.

While Laurenz is proud that he only got help with hanging.

Mother Frauke added: "It was worth it, hopefully there will be a repeat and it's great that other booths have been organized."

Spectacular: the spectators were offered a lot at the scooter tournament.

It is thus entirely in line with the initiators of the still young Olchinger association "Das Gut".

There were some starting difficulties in the morning, such as the unexpectedly high demand for electricity, which delayed the start by 45 minutes.

The bouncy castle from the public utility company didn't come either.

That got on my nerves at first, but in the end it didn't dampen my enthusiasm.

Board member Manuela Wendler is certain that there will be a repeat.

"Preferably every year," as she says.

She also came up with the idea: Wendler had seen the monster in the Ruhr area and immediately thought: "That's cool, we need that." She immediately found favor with her colleagues.

The planning had been going on since February, and now the time had finally come.

This Saturday was all about one thing: Everyone should have fun.

In this way, the more difficult obstacles in the course could also be bypassed, but there was a time penalty for doing so.

Instead of throwing yourself five meters down in the free fall, you could take a slide.

But many dared to take the plunge, whether big or small.

The youngest participant was just five years old, but the age record was held by a 68-year-old.

But everyone should also get their money's worth away from the course.

And so the “Das Gut” team decided to seek support.

“It only works together,” explained Wendler.

So Claus Bender, also a board member, contacted clubs in the area and was able to win many over to the campaign.

A little glitter never hurts: the girls' club applied make-up to children and did handicrafts.

There was the still young Madlverein, which according to board member Sophia Zey also wants to be involved in charitable work in addition to maintaining customs.

The girls not only offered face painting and Glubbal handicrafts (clothespins with names for dirndls), but also posted marshals.

The shooters from “Gut Ziel” Geiselbullach gave an insight into their hobby at a mobile shooting range. It is important for the club to present itself, said Christian Kriegner, who is a member of the board.

"People should know what's on offer in their area."

The Skatepark initiative was also there right away.

The team led by Nils Vertrup (42) and Alexander Mütze (43), who describes himself as a crazy person "who has taken on the wishes of the kids", initiated the expansion of the skate park.

The request from "Das Gut" gave them the opportunity to set up a scooter tournament right away.

In four age groups, starting from seven years, the participants showed spectacular tricks with their scooters.

And because you sometimes land hard, the Maltese were ready to be on the safe side.

As the rescue service assistant Jannick Winkler (21) said, everything is done on a voluntary basis.

In addition, visitors could refresh their first aid skills on a resuscitation dummy and children could see the ambulance from the inside.

And after so much action you can get hungry.

That's why Toni Gross made sure that there was a suitable culinary offer with his Dreieckler fish and Maier's gastronomy.
