The coasts on the North Sea, the Lüneburg Heath and the Harz are the focus of many tourists.
But holidaymakers would have to be prepared for hefty prices: around 80 percent of tourism companies want to raise prices.

The tourism associations in Lower Saxony are again expecting many holidaymakers to travel over Pentecost this year.
Holidays on the North Sea are therefore particularly in demand, but day trippers are also drawn to the heath and the Harz mountains.
Many spontaneous people who book spontaneously are also expected.
But that can cost a lot of money.

Even if it will soon be possible to go on holiday cheaply with the 9-euro ticket by regional train, the prices on site will become more expensive.
The war in Ukraine and high food and energy prices are weighing on the industry.
The pandemic has "severely affected" the industry, said the general manager of the IHK Lower Saxony (IHKN), Birgit Stehl, to the German press agency.
The expectations for the holiday season are therefore high.
But so are the risks.

For a large part of the tourism companies, the increased costs are the greatest risk.
89.1 percent of the companies stated that this was the decisive damper for them.
And that even before the shortage of skilled workers - the biggest problem in the industry for many years.
This is also confirmed by the tourism spokeswoman for the IHK Lower Saxony, Kerstin Kontny.
The situation is one that the companies had never experienced before.
According to a survey conducted between April 6 and May 6, 82.7 percent of companies were in favor of a price increase.

Despite the good booking situation: Holidays over Pentecost on the North Sea are still possible
The spa administrations and tourism associations rate the booking situation on the coasts and islands of the North Sea as “good”.
Nevertheless, there are gaps for spontaneous travelers and last-minute travelers.
On the island of Baltum, around 20 percent of the holiday apartments are still available over Pentecost.
The booking numbers are also good in the Lüneburg Heath, the numbers would be higher than those of 2019, i.e. before the pandemic.
