Tartous Governorate and the Directorate of Martyrs, Wounded and Missing Affairs have honored 270 families of martyrs who rose in the battles to defend the homeland and its pride.

The honoring ceremony included the presentation of medals of devotion to the families of the martyrs and the presentation of a documentary film about the sacrifices of the valiant Syrian Arab Army during the battles of honor and their response to gangs of treachery and terrorism, and the honorable humanitarian attitudes to them during those battles, and the stands of honor and pride for their families when receiving the convoys of the martyrs of truth.. Director of the Directorate of Martyrs, Wounded and Missing Affairs, Major General Bassam Berri, stressed in his speech that “the blood of the martyrs was the key to the path to victory so that we all live in safety and security,” saying that “the martyrs who fought the impossible in the battlefields with the patience of their families taught the world the highest meanings of sacrifice, heroism and redemption.”

The director of Tartous Endowments, Abdullah Al-Sayed, noted the “high status enjoyed by the martyr,” considering that the blood of the martyrs “preserved Syria and brought down the divisions of the enemy... and that the real sacrifice is the sacrifice of the human being with his precious liver, and this is what the families of the martyrs who we are honored to offer when meeting them.”

Ghinwa Hassan, head of the Department of Martyrs and Missing Persons in the General Secretariat of Tartous Governorate, confirmed in her speech that behind the walls of every Syrian house there is a story of honor and giving for a martyr who sacrificed for the homeland, adding that no sanctity is higher than the sanctity of martyrdom and martyrs.

The mother of the martyr, Captain Hussein Deeb Majdoleen Muslim, who delivered the speech of the martyrs’ families, which she started with some verses of poetry that she dedicated to the soul of her son and the martyrs of Syria, said that “the blood of the martyr is a mountain and mixed with the beloved soil of Syria to increase it in purity and sanctity, and that what relieves us is the loss of our children the high status that the martyr who He offered himself as a sacrifice for every Syrian citizen who lives on this good land.”

The honoring ceremony was attended by the Governor of Tartous, Safwan Abu Saadi, and the Secretary of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party branch, Muhammad Habib.
