One climbed into a police car, the second grabbed a woman under her skirt: Two young visitors to the Burschenfest in Warngau lost all inhibitions on Saturday night (May 21).

Both were drunk.

Warngau –

According to the police, the beer tapping on Thursday (May 19) was largely quiet.

Saturday evening (May 21) with the music cabaret in the marquee of the big boys' anniversary in Oberwarngau went off without any major incidents.

However, the beer and wine festival on Friday evening overwhelmed some visitors.

In the case of two young men, a particularly large number of fuses blew due to alcohol delirium: a 20-year-old from Warngau climbed onto a patrol car from the Holzkirchner police force, an 18-year-old from Lenggrieser grabbed a young woman's intimate parts in the marquee.

According to the police, both put up considerable resistance.

Lenggrieser, who had just come of age, had to be tied up and taken to the police station.

The security hired by the boys' association had to intervene more and more frequently during the course of the beer and wine festival.

A police patrol was also on site around 10:30 p.m., two officers were sitting in the car.

That didn't stop a 20-year-old from Warngau from climbing onto the roof of the patrol car.

Why he risked it is unclear.

As officers got out, the young man tried to run away but didn't get far.

He was held and fought so vigorously that the officers said they "forced him directly" to the ground.

It is not yet known whether the patrol car was damaged.

One reason for the strange action may have been the 1.5 per mille that the 20-year-old had in his blood.

After establishing his identity, the man was banned from the festival site.

He's facing a charge of resisting law enforcement officials.

The police point out that the penalty is a fine, but also a prison sentence of up to three years.

Sexual assault in the marquee

About an hour later, at around 11:30 p.m., police security reported a crime with a sexual background.

In the marquee, an 18-year-old Lenggrieser grabbed a young woman's intimate area under her skirt and insulted the woman with sexual insinuations.

The Lenggrieser was also sent off to the festival site, but was bold enough to ignore it.

Since the Lenggrieser did not stick to the eviction and, according to the police, "aggressively" tried to get back into the marquee, the officers also tied him up with immediate force.

Unlike the Warngauer, the 18-year-old was taken to the police station.

According to the police, he had an alcohol level of almost 2.5 per mille.

The 18-year-old faces a charge of sexual harassment and insult on a sexual basis, as well as resisting law enforcement officials.

A third incident later occurred around 2 a.m.

According to the police, security staff wanted to throw a 22-year-old Uffinger, who was smoking in the tent, out of the tent. The young man threatened the security service staff and was noticed with a loose mouth.

But there were no fisticuffs.

The police initiated a procedure for threats.

As a police spokesman explained on Sunday, after the incidents, the Holzkirchner inspection increased its presence during the remaining days of the holiday in order to be able to intervene quickly if the worst came to the worst.

The police appealed to the festival visitors to respect the regulations and to ensure a civilized process despite the lifted Corona regulations and a long break from the festival.

At the Burschenfest, Sunday (May 22nd) is the day of the festival with a parade.

On Monday (May 23) an agricultural exhibition (from 2 p.m.) and in the evening a plate of meat (from 6 p.m.) will conclude the festive season.
