Legislative: on the left, the Nupes alliance put to the test by the National Assembly

The stated objective of the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) is clear: to obtain a majority at the end of the legislative elections.

And impose cohabitation on Emmanuel Macron with Jean-Luc Mélenchon at Matignon.

But even in opposition, the Insoumis and their communist, environmentalist and socialist allies are determined to become a force that will weigh in the future National Assembly.

The polls, which most often give the left alliance in the lead in the first round, however place the presidential bloc in first place in the second round, but grant between 100 and 160 deputies to Nupes, much more than the sixty or so elected from the left in the outgoing Assembly.
