A fire broke out in Sham Shui Po.
Today (23rd) at about 5:30 in the morning, a unit in a tenement building at No. 23-25 Boundary Street and near Baiyang Street caught fire, alerting many residents to the police.
Firefighters arrived after receiving the report. They raised the ladder for rescue at one point, and used two teams of smoke caps and a hose to fight the fire. The fire was put out after about 15 minutes.
It is understood that the location of the fire was a subdivided housing unit. The suspected air conditioner caught fire first, and the fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
During the fire, nearly 50 residents were evacuated. Some people hugged their pet dogs, and some male residents escaped in only underwear. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
