As for the work in the respite center, they never worried that they would not be able to cope with it, because they had previous experience in internships in nursing homes, and the School of Nursing has simulated learning, using mechanical patients to train how to deal with various conditions and requirements of patients.
Wang Wenbing, associate professor of the School of Nursing of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong and course director of the Bachelor of Nursing and Elite Leaders Training Specialized Group, said that the mechanical patients in the school can simulate various vital signs, and nearly 100 cases have been designed for students to practice.
