Senior Inspector Chan Chi-wah, the head of the Operation 3A Team of the Police Drug Investigation Division, said today (22nd) that detectives stopped and checked a suspicious man who had just left the unit of the 1st tenement building on the ground floor of a tenement building on Junction Road, Kowloon City yesterday (21st). No suspicious objects were found on him.

Detectives later escorted the man back to the tenement flat.

There were other people in the unit, but he locked the door.

The detective broke through the door with a blasting tool and identified a man in the house, who resisted arrest and resistance, and eventually the detective subdued him.

Detectives retrieved cocaine weighing 28.6 kilograms and hidden in about 2,100 paper drinking tubes from the house, as well as cocaine weighing about 1 kilogram; 14.1 kilograms of mixed drugs commonly known as "happy powder"; 1.1 kilograms of ketamine, and another one. Batch of drug containment tools.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, and one of the men was arrested on suspicion of obstructing Mr. Li.

2,100 cocaine paper drinking tubes seized

Chen Chihua pointed out that using paper drinking tubes to store cocaine was not common in the past.

The amount of cocaine hidden in each paper drinking tube is very small. It takes a long time to hide the cocaine in the paper drinking tube, and it is inconvenient to take it out. I believe that criminals use the paper drinking tube to cover up their drug possession, and hope to reduce the police investigation and Increase the difficulty of police investigations.

The seized "happy powder" is actually a mixture of ketamine and meth-like drugs, which is soluble in water.

It can excite the drinker, increase the heart rate, heat up, and produce a psychedelic feeling, so it is called "fascinated water".

If a large amount of happy powder is taken, it can affect the heart rhythm and heart, and may be life-threatening in severe cases.

Therefore, Chen Chihua reminded the public not to drink drinks provided by strangers when spending time in bars or entertainment venues, and do not leave their own drinks out of sight for a long time to avoid being drugged by criminals.

Chen Xu said that the two arrested men were both 22 years old and both of them knew each other.

The tenement units involved are believed to have been in operation for about a month.

The police estimate that the batch of drugs may be supplied to the local market, and it is believed that they have successfully prevented the flow of drugs into the market.

Its source is subject to further investigation.
