The first case of monkeypox was recorded in Austria

Today, the health authorities in Austria announced the registration of the first case of monkeypox in a person living in the capital, Vienna.

"The city of Vienna recorded the first suspected case of monkeypox, which is a 35-year-old man who was taken to hospital during the night," the national radio and television quoted an Austrian health official as saying.

He added, "The patient suffers from symptoms in addition to a slight fever and pimples on the face."

Western countries, including France, Germany, Britain, the United States, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, have recorded many injuries in recent weeks.
