Vinzenzmurr's Miesbach adventure has apparently come to an end.

The branch on Schlierseer Straße has been closed for several weeks.

The counter and sales room are clean and tidy behind the windows covered with foil.

Ready for the next tenant?

One can only speculate as to why the Munich chain of butchers, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, is closing in Miesbach about a year and a half after opening.

The company, which has over 200 branches throughout southern Germany, left an inquiry from our newspaper unanswered.

In the vicinity of the snack bar and butcher shop, however, it is learned that the business never really got off the ground.

The reason apparently: the strong competition from the Miesbach butchers, above all the Holnburger company.

In addition, the Edeka Alpengrossmarkt, which is located opposite the Vinzenzmurr store, also has a fresh food service counter.

It is also unclear what will become of the currently empty store.

Because the matter is not over for Vinzenzmurr just with the closing, since the property belongs to Brandl Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG from Munich, behind which the Vinzenzmurr family owning and senior boss Evi Brandl stands.

At that time, she had used the opportunity to acquire the free property on Schlierseer Straße after the construction of a fast-food restaurant on the former site of the breeding association had failed.

As is well known, the breeding association had sold its area with the dilapidated Oberlandhalle to the construction company Ten Brinke Bayern in order to relocate to the Straß district, which took place in 2014.

After Edeka had been awarded the majority of the space, a small construction window remained vacant until Vinzenzmurr acted in 2015 to build a commercial building with a butcher's shop, café, shop, office and practice space there.

This also affected the neighboring gymnastics club.

As reported, the TV Miesbach and the Tegernsee restaurateur Andreas Greither had the plan to build a gymnastics center on the TV site, but this failed.

The reason: the TV area would have needed a different access route - via the area that belongs to Vinzenzmurr.
