Special envoy to Digne-les-Bains
In the corridors of the Digne-les-Bains hospital, the screams would almost make the walls tremble.
“Where is the doctor?
Are you going to get it for me bitch?”
screams a colossus all dressed in black, helmet on his head, fists outstretched.
Stammering, the nurse steps back, rushes to a closed door.
Fortunately, that day, the scene takes place in the premises dedicated to training, and the threatening individual is none other than an instructor.
“But it's larger than life!,
applauded the ten participants.
Violence of this kind is recurrent with us.”
So, to help nurses, nursing assistants, agents, paramedics and doctors to cope, the hospital center of the capital of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence has been offering them, since last November, self-defense sessions.
It had started a few years ago, with the registration of an emergency doctor at the Self Defense Academy, in Manosque.
