Last week, it was announced that the court would allow Olmert to oblige members of the Netanyahu family to go to the witness stand in the defamation lawsuit against him.
This, after the mediation process between the former prime ministers failed.
Judge Amit Yariv did not hide his disappointment that the parties did not reach a compromise and wrote that "it seems that there will be no escape from hearing evidence in the case."
About three months ago, the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court rejected Olmert's request to have Netanyahu undergo a psychiatric examination together with his wife, Sarah Netanyahu, and their son, Yair Netanyahu.
Olmert wanted to hand over medical records in the field of mental health, sign a waiver of medical confidentiality and be examined by a psychiatrist on his behalf.
Will go up to the witness stand.

The Netanyahu family filed a defamation lawsuit in the amount of NIS 837,000 against Olmert, who called them "mentally ill" in interviews he gave.
At the end of the hearing no agreement was reached between the parties.
