After retiring from the coalition, MK Jida Rinawi Zoabi is now (Sunday) accompanied by Minister Issawi Farage and heads of Arab authorities, with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.
Zoabi is expected to present to Lapid her demands to stay in the coalition, and as published in "Israel Today" she is expected to demand, among other things: Social Security for Arabs studying abroad and returning, benefits for Arab women and budgets for a hospital in Nazareth.

About a week and a half ago, Israel Today reported on difficulties in the process of appointing MK Jida Rinawi Zoabi to the Israeli consulate in Shanghai.
A source close to the Civil Service Commission Appointments Committee recently said in a closed conversation that Lapid's intention to appoint Zoabi to the important position is causing problems.
According to him, it is difficult to appoint a senior diplomat to the post, who objects to the state anthem and its basic values.
The insider said that against this background, the committee may not approve the appointment.
He stressed that this was a professional defect in functioning and not a reference to her political positions.

This morning, a ministerial committee convened for planning and construction, headed by Ayelet Shaked.
According to sources present at the hearing, Shaked threatened that if they did not transfer areas from the Sdot Negev Regional Council to Sderot, it would not approve the sections of the metro.
