Dozens of students who were IDF fighters took part in a demonstration in front of the Knesset this morning (Monday) demanding that politicians pass the "Dimensions for Studies" law, which subsidizes academic studies for IDF fighters.
The demonstrators, who came from all parts of the country, waved Israeli flags and a stretcher carrying one of their friends.

During the demonstration, the participants shouted: "Fighters first, right and left," in order to persuade members of the various parties to support the law.
The demonstrators held signs that read: "Do not go to school without dimensions," "Do not leave the fighters behind," and "Khalas with the games vote in favor."
Students demonstrate outside the Knesset,
After weeks of debates between the coalition and the opposition over the passage of the "Dimensions for Education" law, today the law will go up for a name vote in the plenum.
The coalition hopes that one of the Knesset members in the opposition will be broken, and thus there will be a majority for the law.
"16,500 discharged fighters are currently awaiting a scholarship," Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said yesterday.
"If Likud MKs vote against - the law will fall and the fighters will not receive the scholarships. Many fighters will not be able to afford to go to school and get stuck unanswered. Voting against the law has no effect on the coalition and government, only harm the fighters. If opposition members agree to abstain. "The law will pass and the fighters will get what they deserve."
