“May is the month of prevention against drug use, so I go to colleges to talk about it, begins Marie-Céline Lawrysz, public prosecutor, this Monday, at the Compiègne court.

And what do I hear?

11-year-old kids asking me:

It seems that now they sell Haribeuh?

 “What despair.

“There is even a catchy slogan: Haribeuh, life is beautiful, there is weed and teuchi.

If the magistrate dwells on this anecdote, it is because she is facing her, this Monday, one of the links in this "Haribeux" traffic, arrested on April 27 in an apartment in Compiègne, in the district of Clos-des-Roses where many drugs were also discovered.

The defendant, Abdelhadim E., 20, was sentenced to six months in prison, to which are added six more, the justice having decided to revoke the reprieve which had been granted to him during a previous judgment.

He was also banned from appearing at Compiègne for two years.

On the day of the incident, the young homeless man was seen in the middle of a transaction in the hall of a building in the square Gustave-Charpentier, by police officers on patrol.

The young man is recognizable: dreadlocks, a cap, a bandage on his leg, he has a shoe on one foot, a tap on the other.

When the officials approach, the latter clears off and goes to a fallback apartment.

Sentenced last September to prison for drug trafficking, released from detention in February, he was banned from appearing in Compiègne.

He throws drugs out the window… in front of the police

"That's why I fled, but I didn't sell," says Abdelhadim E., who explains that a "colleague" told him about an apartment still open.

It would only be upon entering that he would have noticed that the place is filled with drugs of all kinds: 135 g of heroin, 10 g of cocaine and 750 g of cannabis, with these famous sachets of "Haribeuh".

And 2580€ in cash.

When the police break down the door with a ram, the young dealer throws a bag out the window.

The officials who remained below thus only had to bend down to pick up the evidence of the traffic.

" I did not know.

When I saw all this drugs, I panicked.

I started by throwing a bag, but then I said to myself that I shouldn't continue because there were going to be my prints everywhere.

“You put yourself in danger by returning to Compiègne”

Barely out of adolescence, the young man has become homeless and squats left and right.

He lives off traffic.

“He is wasting his life, but prison is not the solution.

He does this to pay for his consumption, to eat, to dress.

He was found in an unnamed hovel.

Repression will not help.

He needs a follow-up, that he finds a purpose in his life.

At 20, he is not lost, ”insists his lawyer, Me Adel Farès.

Returning to Compiègne "to see friends", according to him, the young man would however have another motivation: during his last conviction, the narcotics in his possession, worth 7000 euros, were seized by justice.

“You put yourself in danger by returning to Compiègne”, underlines the president of the court, Baptiste Bonnemort.

“I just try not to cross them, concludes the defendant.

This is where I have my things, where I am housed, where I take a shower… Without that, I am homeless.
