"Ice cream" contouring: the make-up trick to lift the face and give it a boost of radiance

And contouring techniques are particularly popular with users to redraw their profile in 3D as Kim Kardashian likes to do.

Recently, a new method called “contouring ice cream” has accumulated millions of views on the platform.

At the risk of disappointing the greediest, it is not a question of eating ice cream to have beautiful skin, but of giving it a tensor effect with a few brush strokes.

The concept ?

Apply four coats of different complexion products diagonally and parallel to each side of the face.

As shown by the many make-up tutorials from TikTokeurs trying out the method, you must first draw a first line on the cheekbone with a liquid concealer starting from the outer corner of the eye, up to the temple.

Then, do the same with a cream blush just below, followed by a third line with a bronzer stick.

Finally, finish with a final touch of concealer.

All you have to do is blend each row one by one with a large fluffy brush.

Result ?

The skin appears slightly lifted upwards and the cheeks appear more chiseled, thanks to a simple strategic color placement.

With, as a bonus, a good-looking effect.

The graphic layering of colors inspired the name of the trend to TikTokeurs, who compare the visual result to the famous Neapolitan vanilla-strawberry-chocolate ice cream.

A meticulous technique

This subtle optical effect requires a minimum of makeup experience.

To ensure that the trick causes a tensor effect and does not pull the face down, care must be taken not to apply the material from further than the center of the eye.

Finally, even if the influencers apply generous layers of make-up on their skin, it is not necessary to do the same if you want a natural result.

Moreover, the thicker the stripes, the more difficult it will be to fade them without mixing all the colors together.
