"Be firm with us in our hearts and minds and we will continue to fight and work for him to grow up in Israel, his natural home, the home of his extended and loving family - the burial place of his parents and younger brother," say the Peleg family.

The collapse of the cable car in Italy resulted in the deaths of 14 people - five of them members of the Peleg-Biran family, with the exception of Eitan who survived the tragic event.

In the past year, Eitan has managed to recover from his physical injuries, but the dispute over custody is still ongoing in a court in Italy.

"A year has passed since the terrible disaster in Italy, a disaster that cut short the lives of our five beloved family members and left us sore and broken. In the darkness and terrible darkness that covered our lives, one spotlight of hope continued to burn - our beloved Say members of the Peleg family.

The Peleg Biran family, only Eitan survived the terrible disaster,

"Be strong with us in our hearts and minds and we will continue to fight and work for him to grow in Israel, his natural home, the home of his extended and loving family - the burial place of his parents and younger brother. "To be a part of his life and the possibility of him returning to live in Israel. The legal proceedings in Italy are still ongoing and we hope that the court in Milan and the people involved in Eitan's case will see before their eyes his good and correct the terrible injustice done to him and us."

As you may recall, on May 23, 2021, a malfunction occurred in the tourist facility.

The car in which the Biran family was traveling was released, after the cable car was torn and caused the cabin to fall and crash from a great height.

The authorities.

Ethan remains the only survivor of his family.

The court in Italy has ruled custody and visitation arrangements in Italy, with the child being raised by his aunt, Aya Biran.

Eitan's grandfather, Shmuel Peleg, who lives in Israel, was suspected of abducting his grandson several months ago

"My life changed on May 23, three generations were erased in an instant, and that's something that leaves a huge hole in my heart. I became a completely different person," he said last September.

"Eitan is happy and wrapped up in his family, where he is supposed to be, in his home in Israel. The best interests of the child outweigh my personal interest."

He wanted to bring Eitan to Israel as soon as possible: "I wanted him to feel safe with me. I acted according to the law, his and my passports were approved by the Airports Authority the day before the flight, we took off completely legally. The boy spoke to the pilots and excitedly told them we were flying to Israel. "My thoughts are solely in Eitan's favor."
