Piano lovers enjoyed a musical evening of solo playing the piano, presented by a number of students of the Higher Institute of Music, Piano Department, in the multi-purpose hall at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
A number of outstanding students participated in the evening, who presented distinguished classical pieces under the supervision of the academic musicians Aida Moumjian, Cosette Bakir, Lynn Jannad, Victoria Snober and Fadi Jebeli.
A group of musical pieces from the timeless classical works of the great composers who created works of art on the piano that are still present today, namely Chopin, Brahms, Medalsun, Schumann, Liszt and Bortikvich, were performed by the students with professionalism and high sense.
This evening came as a kind of permanent endeavor by the Higher Institute of Music to support the outstanding students of the Institute and present them to the public on the stage in a professional manner, in addition to enhancing their practical side.
It is noteworthy that the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus was established in 1990 to produce over the years hundreds of students with different specializations in playing Arabic and Western music, oriental and opera singing.
