Falco, Fendrich and Co. made the hearts of the visitors soar.

- Whether Falco, STS, Wolfgang Ambros, Georg Danzer, Rainhard Fendrich, Ludwig Hirsch or EAV - the repertoire of Austrian hits seems almost inexhaustible.

"It's not easy to fit everything into one show," admitted Mathias Rasch.

The singer and guitarist took over the moderation of an entertaining Austro-Pop evening on Friday evening, which only really picked up speed in the second half of the concert.

With around 400 visitors, the seated Loisachhalle was almost full.

Some even traveled long distances from Augsburg or Frankfurt to experience a carefree evening full of nostalgia.

Many of the listeners, most of whom were over 50 years old, sang along with the rather quiet STS songs "Close your eyes" and "Grandpa".

"Schifoan" finally broke the ice

But young girls in dirndls also mingled with the audience.

When Peter Cornelius stormed the hit parades with his song "Du, Excuse me, I know you" or Falco with "Jeanny", they weren't even born yet.

Thanks to frequent radio broadcasts, these songs still inspire 20- to 30-year-olds, some of whom even appeared with T-shirts from the hard rock band Metallica.

Amused, the six-piece band played songs like "Enter Sandman" or "Nothing Else Matters".

"But that's not why we're here today," Mathias Rasch broke off.

After the concert break, the group asked all visitors to stand up and clap along.

Hardly anyone wanted to oppose that.

The noise level increased significantly, especially with “Live Is Life” by Opus and the indestructible Ambros classic “Schifoan”.

Couples and those newly in love, on the other hand, are likely to have enjoyed Rainhard Fendrich's ballad "Weus'd a Herz hast wia a Bergwerk" in particular.

Encores such as the "Fürstenfeld" suitable for the Oktoberfest and the secret Austrian national anthem "I am from Austria" ended the three-hour concert.
