There is trouble because of a bike path in Zweibrückenstraße.

The discounter Lidl can apparently no longer be supplied well.

The CSU therefore wants to have the delivery zone relocated.

Munich – Apparently, a discounter can no longer be supplied on Zweibrückenstrasse.

A new cycle path is to blame for this.

The CSU and Free Voters write in an application.

In it, the parliamentary group demands that the delivery zone for the Lidl market at Zweibrückenstraße 8 be approved immediately in front of the entrance and that it be marked accordingly.

According to the justification for the application, the Lidl on Zweibrückenstrasse is a pilot project for the company for urban locations.

The discounter is aimed in particular at customers in the middle income purchasing power range who want to reach the store on foot.

In 2018, the delivery concept was also approved as part of the building permit.

A year later, this concept was repealed by the city council decision to convert Zweibrückenstraße to a single lane without further justification, says CSU boss Manuel Pretzl.

Only a delivery via the next cross street was named as an alternative.

This prank would not only mean that it would hardly be possible to stock the branch with fresh goods in the morning hours due to the long distances involved.

The new delivery zone also crosses the way to school from the nearby schools on the Isar.

In fact, delivery to the branch is made almost impossible.

This means there is a risk of closure.

"In this central location, there are hardly any stores in the Lidl price range," says Pretzl.

“The branch ensures affordable food supplies for many people.

Unfortunately, the green-red city government paid no attention to these people, but instead fabricated an ideologically motivated hasty shot without knowing the local situation.”
