Since the beginning of February there has been no trace of the missing Ekaterina from Bremerhaven, and file number XY was also looking for the young mother.
Her dismembered body was found in a suitcase.

The missing Ekaterina from Bremerhaven was searched for around four weeks, and now there is sad certainty.
The young mother fell victim to a brutal crime.
As the police explained in a statement on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, the remains of the 32-year-old were discovered on Tuesday.
As the police further explained, a suitcase was "discovered and recovered right on the waterfront of the Weser near the Atlantic Hotel Sail City in Bremerhaven".
A witness immediately informed the police.
The horrifying contents of the suitcase: numerous remains of a woman.
In the meantime, investigators have been able to assign the mortal remains to the missing Ekaterina without a doubt.
The Bremerhaven police and the public prosecutor are now investigating a homicide.
As the police further explain, the evidence and circumstantial evidence gathered so far has led to the issuance of an arrest warrant against the young woman's husband.
In the statement, the public prosecutor's office and the police in Bremerhaven also ask "in order to protect the relatives of the young woman and against the background of the latest developments, not to take part in public speculation about the background to the crime and the exact course of the crime".

Bremerhaven – Ekaterina Baumann from Bremerhaven-Wulsdorf has been missing since February 4, 2022, and now investigators have hoped for new information from the ZDF program Aktenzeichen XY.

Ekaterina Baumann is being searched for feverishly, and emergency services have not shied away from bad weather conditions in the past few days.
As the police only explained on Tuesday, February 22, an area around the Wulsdorfer Wasserwerkswald was searched for further clues as part of the search.
There has been no trace of Ekaterina Baumann since February 4, 2022.
Investigators do not rule out an accident or a crime.
As the police explained on Tuesday, the confusing area was combed through by almost 130 officers in an action lasting several hours.
"Against the background of the severe storms in the past few days and the still existing danger of falling branches, this measure posed a particular challenge for the emergency services and their safety when carrying out the search," said the police in their statement.
In addition, it could not be ruled out that the extreme weather conditions could damage, destroy or change the location of possible clues.
Investigators are also hoping for new clues from file number XY - who can give clues?
On Wednesday, the search for the young woman should also be discussed in the ZDF program Aktenzeichen XY.

There has been no trace of Rebecca Reusch from Berlin for exactly three years, and the girl is still missing.
The public prosecutor's office is now speaking, and the family's lawyer is also speaking.
And Sonja Engelbrecht is also missing.
The young woman from Munich has been missing since 1995, and a bone could now bring investigators the breakthrough in the case.
In the 1990s, two other Munich residents disappeared without a trace.
