Cases of monkeypox are recorded in 15 countries, but authorities rule out high spread

At least 15 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania have reported confirmed cases of monkeypox, according to a CNN tally.

However, health authorities insist that this virus is not as contagious as covid-19, and that the risk of spread in the general population is extremely low.
