In the trial of a suspected former guard in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, the co-plaintiff spoke out in favor of a prison sentence of several years.
A sentence of less than five years can only be given to his clients "with great, great difficulty," said lawyer Thomas Walther on Monday in Brandenburg/Havel.
Walther, who represents eleven joint plaintiffs, did not name a specific sentence.
Brandenburg/Havel - Co-plaintiff lawyer Hans-Jürgen Förster demanded that the minimum sentence should not be less than five years imprisonment.
In the trial, a 101-year-old defendant is accused of aiding and abetting the murder of at least 3,518 prisoners in Sachsenhausen concentration camp from 1942 to 1945.
