Homs firefighters put out today a fire that broke out in fields planted with wheat in the village of Al-Dumaina Al-Gharbiyye in the Al-Qusayr area in the southwestern countryside of Homs.
The Director of Civil Defense in Homs, Brigadier General Ghiath Aqel, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the branch’s operations room received a report about a fire in wheat fields in the lands of Al-Dumaina Al-Gharbia village in Al-Qusayr area. And carrying out the cooling process, noting that the burned area amounted to about 20 dunums and that the cause of the fire was an electric spark from the tension towers passing through the area.
It is noteworthy that Homs firefighting cadres put out yesterday a fire that also broke out in the agricultural lands of the western village of Duminah, which affected about 25 dunums.
