With the veterans Kevin-Prince Boateng and Stevan Jovetic in the starting line-up, Felix Magath still wants to stay up with Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga.
The 35-year-old Boateng returns to the starting eleven on Monday evening (8.30 p.m. / Sky and Sat.1) in the second leg of the relegation against Hamburger SV after two games.
Hamburg – The 32-year-old striker Jovetic only made short appearances with the Berliners after a long injury in the final spurt of the Bundesliga season.
The duo replaced Marco Richter in the starting XI and Maximilian Mittelstädt on offense.
Santiago Ascacibar returns to defensive midfield in Hamburg's Volksparkstadion after being suspended for Niklas Stark.
At HSV, coach Tim Walter relies on the same formation as he did in the first leg for top scorer Robert Glatzel and Ludovit Reis, who scored the goal for the Hanseatic League's 1-0 win in Berlin on Thursday.
With a draw, HSV is promoted back to the Bundesliga after four years.
The Berliners need a win with a two-goal lead to prevent the seventh relegation in their club's history from the top flight.
