Following the presentation of the program by Education Minister Shasha Bitton, the organization's chairman Ran Erez intends to fight for it as much as he can.

In response to the new matriculation reform presented by the Ministry of Education last month, the teachers' organization will hold a press conference today (Monday) during which the organization's chairman, Ran Erez, is expected to present the steps he intends to take in the fight against Education Minister Yifat Shasha Bitton's plan.

As will be recalled, the new reform is expected to focus on heritage, society and the spirit, as part of which the external matriculation exams in history, literature, Bible and citizenship will be abolished, and students will submit papers instead.

Shasha Bitton said at the time that "Today's world is changing at a rapid pace and the teaching method must adapt itself in adulthood as well. Therefore, we are embarking on a revolutionary move, which is changing the matriculation system in Israel, Education ".

Under the plan, the works will be reviewed by both school teachers and external examiners, and students will also need to be tested on them orally in a presentation.

The program is scheduled to begin operating next school year among tenth-grade students.

Eleventh and twelfth graders of 5733 and twelfth graders of 5764 will continue in the current format of the matriculation.

When students move up to tenth grade, the courses, classes in the four subjects (history, literature, Bible and citizenship) will begin, with each of the basic courses in the four disciplines being equivalent to 1.5 study units. Each teacher who teaches them will choose one of the three teaching methods. : Renewable learning, digital learning or learning through development-leading teachers.

In addition to learning (which will provide 1.5 study units), an additional half unit in each of the subjects will be devoted to concluding work that will cover two study units.

Students will begin work on the multidisciplinary concluding work starting in the 2004/05 school year (mid-end of 11th grade) and it will consist of four separate sections - history, literature, citizenship and the Bible.

The submitter's organization said in response that it opposes the plan: "There is no agreement between the teachers' union and the Ministry of Education regarding the reform, due to opposition from the Ministry of Finance. At his disposal in order to prevent the injury. "
