From June 1st, the nine-euro ticket will be valid for buses and trains.
An expert from the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district office clarifies final questions.
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – for nine euros for a month on local transport throughout Germany.
The nine-euro ticket for buses and trains will be available from June 1st.
The offer, which is limited until the end of August, is intended to relieve people of the high fuel costs and provide an incentive to switch to public transport.
Nine questions to the public transport expert Matthias Schmid from the district office.

From when and for how long is the nine-euro ticket valid?
The offer starts on June 1st.
Basically, it is set up for three months, i.e. until the end of August.
"These are monthly tickets," explains Schmid.
These are valid for one calendar month, i.e. from the beginning of the month to the end of the month.
Conversely, if you buy your nine-euro ticket in mid-June, for example, you can use it until the end of June.
Can I use all public transport offers in the district with the nine-euro ticket?
"The ticket should be valid throughout Germany for local and regional transport, regardless of the mode of transport chosen," explains the public transport expert.
"In our district, all offers in bus and train can be used."
I would like to go on a trip - can I combine the nine-euro ticket with long-distance transport?
The nine-euro ticket is valid on buses, trains and all other regional transport services, but not on long-distance trains such as ICE, EC or IC.
"A product transfer to long-distance transport should not be possible with a nine-euro ticket, even for an extra charge," says Schmid.
In theory, however, bus and train customers can use the ticket to travel from Ascholding to the North Sea - but only in regional transport.
Where can I get the nine-euro ticket?
"The ticket should be sold on as many channels as possible," says the district office expert.
"For example, as an MVV HandyTicket, at the ticket machine, at the customer center or on the bus itself."

Can several people use the nine-euro ticket?
This will probably not be possible.
"At the moment, it should be personal," explains Schmid.
The nine-euro ticket is coming: What applies to customers with a subscription like the 365-euro ticket?
Nobody should experience a disadvantage from the new offer: "Regular customers benefit without restriction," emphasizes Schmid.
If you already have a bus and train subscription, you don’t have to do anything: “The subscription will be charged automatically.”
Bikes, children, dogs, etc.: What can I take with me free of charge, what do I pay extra for?
There is no uniform, Germany-wide regulation for this question.
Depending on the means of transport, tariff region and provider, the usual regulations apply.
However, children under the age of six can travel for free.
Will the transport offer be expanded if many more people board the bus and train?
According to Schmid's assessment, it is to be expected that there will be a large rush "in isolated cases and at certain points".
However, he makes it clear: "Due to the short-term nature, no increases in capacity are possible."
When is the nine-euro ticket worth it?
There is no blanket answer to this question.
Those who already commute regularly save money with the nine-euro ticket.
According to the MVV travel information, a single trip on the S-Bahn from Wolfratshausen to Munich currently costs 8.80 euros, and a day ticket for one person costs 11.20 euros.
