Storms will again sweep across Germany on Monday - especially in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Tornadoes are possible.

The storm cells are moving east.

The German Weather Service (DWD) is currently issuing warnings for the entire south and west.

The edge of the Alps between Bad Reichenhall and Ravensburg and a wide strip up to Nördlingen are particularly affected - here there can be heavy rain, hail and hurricane-like gusts of around 115 km/h at least until midnight.

Around Rosenheim and Bad Reichenhall, the warning even applies until 2 a.m.

In a strip between Pforzheim and Lörrach, heavy rain, hail and heavy gusts of wind up to hurricane-like gusts of 95 to 110 km/h must be expected until 10 p.m.

This also applies to the entire Saarland as well as large parts of Rhineland-Palatinate, the southwest of Hesse to Gießen and in North Rhine-Westphalia the area south of Aachen, around Kleve and between Bonn, Siegen, Hamm and Essen.

In Baden-Württemberg, the storm situation has eased a little for the time being and has moved east.

The official level 3 severe weather warning currently applies to several districts in southern Bavaria.

There is currently a red alert in Baden-Württemberg. The DWD has issued an official level 3 storm warning for some districts, especially in the south-east of the state on the border with Bavaria.
