After a lightning strike, the roof structure of a family home in Pipinsried caught fire on Monday morning.
A resident was injured, a spokesman for the Dachau police said yesterday.
Pipinsried ‒ A strong thunderstorm passed over Pipinsried at around 8.30 a.m. on Friday.
According to the police, the lightning struck a single-family house on Heimbergstrasse, and the roof truss caught fire.
The fire brigade was on site quickly.

A resident, the 59-year-old owner of the house, suffered smoke inhalation and blast trauma and had to be hospitalized.
A total of 80 firefighters from the Dachau, Indersdorf, Hilgertshausen-Tandern, Altomünster, Pipinsried, Schiltberg, Alberzell, Randelsried and Hebertshausen fire brigades were deployed for extinguishing and post-extinguishing work.
According to the police, the house was damaged in the fire by 250,000 euros.
