Russian soldier found guilty of murder in first Ukrainian war crimes trial

A 21-year-old Russian soldier has been sentenced in Kyiv for killing an unarmed 62-year-old civilian.

For the first time since Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine began, a Kremlin soldier has been sentenced for his actions.

The 21-year-old tanker Vadim Sch.

was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court in Kyiv.

This is reported unanimously by Ukrainian media.

The soldier Sch.

killed a 62-year-old defenseless civilian in the village of Chupakhivka, Sumy region.

He had already confessed to the crime last week at the start of the lightning trial.
