Sharing of tasks: attacked on their backyard, doctors are worried

The Rist law provides for an extension of the missions of certain health professions, i.e. the performance of tasks formerly reserved for doctors.


Pharmacists are not the only ones to have obtained new missions.

Nurses, physiotherapists, midwives, orthoptists can now perform tasks that were once the prerogative of doctors alone.

This extension of the missions of certain health professions, enshrined in the Rist law, was adopted by the deputies under strong pressure to try to respond to the problem of medical deserts, faced with a medical demography at half mast.

The doctors, they see with concern their colleagues encroaching on their backyard, without being associated with the decisions.
