South Korean President Yoon Sok-yeol stressed the importance of economic cooperation with China, ruling out that his country's relations with the United States will cause sensitivity to China.
"Strengthening the alliance with the United States in the areas of security and technology does not mean that economic cooperation with China is unimportant, but on the contrary, good alliances may serve everyone's interests," Yun said in an interview with CNN.
"The relationship between China and the United States is a strategic one, as they are the two largest trading partners," Yoon Seok said, noting that "despite political competition, economic and trade cooperation between them continues."
Yoon Seok stressed that "China is part of the Group of Twenty and is one of the world's leaders and its role is not only to participate but also to lead it."
