The number of beneficiaries of the (Sawa Well) initiative launched by the Tomorrow Children Association on the ninth of last April has reached about eight thousand children and families in various regions of As-Suwayda Governorate.
The initiative, which is being held under the supervision of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in As-Suwayda, aims, according to the association’s chairperson, Ruba Diab, to enhance community cohesion and feelings of others, develop children’s sense of their peers, and meet the needs of families in need, through networking with several parties, noting that the Tomorrow Children’s Association volunteer team, in cooperation with The team of Al Baraem Association for Child Welfare distributed about 12,000 pieces of clothes and shoes to thousands of children and families in the governorate and its rural areas, as well as expatriate families, in addition to stationery for a number of schools.
Diab indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the mechanism of the initiative's work was well-studied and conducted according to accurate questionnaires for the targeted families, with keenness to sterilize and wash clothes before distribution. And the response from the local community, the campaign, which was limited to 15 days, has been extended and is continuing to reach the largest possible number of children and families in need.
And the association declared the year 2019 to develop the educational skills of children and adolescents and develop themselves to be active members of society and to provide sound psychological preparation for all children without discrimination through many programs and activities in cooperation with relevant authorities.
