A rare industrial accident occurred in Ho Man Tin.
The incident happened at about 10 a.m. today (23rd), and the police received a report that a worker placed a rope on the road to block the street next to a building at the junction of Boundary Street and Earl Street in Homantin.
When officers arrived at the scene to handle the complaint, he saw a thrilling scene. A wall on the roof for fixing the support of the gondola suddenly tilted outward, causing the gondola to crumble. It was reported that there were 3 workers at work at the time, and they fled to safety. two of them accidentally scratched their hands, while the other was safe.
According to on-site information, the gondola then descended to the ground, and after the steel cable was untied, it was transported away by relevant personnel. The workers were not seriously injured in the incident and did not need to be sent to the hospital.
The Transport Department said the entire line of Earl Street near Boundary Street has been closed due to the dangerous location of the item.
Affected bus routes 2D, 10 and 208 have to be diverted.
Motorists should consider using other roads.
There is currently heavy traffic on the site.
