The World Health Organization says there are more than 100 confirmed or suspected cases of so-called monkeypox in 12 countries.
There are 92 documented infections in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
28 possible infections are also being investigated in several nations, including a case that is under observation in Argentina.
Experts point out that this virus is not as contagious or unknown as covid-19.
