The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Chiapas, Mexico reported this Sunday that it is investigating a traffic accident in which four alleged migrants lost their lives and another 16 were injured, in the municipality of San Juan Chamula .

The entity, through the Altos District Prosecutor's Office, said that it started a folder against who or who is responsible for the crime Culpable Homicide in traffic events.

The event occurred in a section of the San Juan Chamula-Ixtapa highway, at the height of the Yalchiton community, kilometer 16 of the municipality of San Juan Chamula, Chiapas.

Elements of the Specialized Police and Expert Services went there after learning the news through the Judge of Peace and Conciliation of that locality.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident, one Nissan brand Estaquita type with sheepfold and license plates from the state of Chiapas, and another three-ton Ram-4000 type with sheepfold.

The FGE specified that, among the injured, nine are from Honduras, four from Guatemala, one from Nicaragua and one from Ecuador.

The four bodies were lifted and transferred to the forensic medical service (SEMEFO) in San Cristóbal de las Casas.
